Our monthly trap shoots are held between April and December; we are moving them to the first Saturday of the month instead of the first Sunday. New signup window is between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Berks League shoots will continue to be held on a Sunday as scheduled.
No scrap or other materials are to be removed from club property without the expressed consent of an Association Officer or Board member.
Hard copy newsletters and renewal reminder postcards will no longer be mailed. Postage rates are unsustainable. We will send all communications from here to forward via E-mail blasts. This only works if we have your E-mail address on file.
PISTOLS THAT ARE ALTERED WITH ANY PIECE OF EQUIPMENT THAT PROVIDES SUPPORT BY ANY BODY PART OTHER THAN THE HANDS, SUCH AS A RIFLE SHOULDER SUPPORT, STABILIZING BRACE (MP5, SP5, ETC.) OR TACTICAL RAPID FIRE, ARE PROHIBITED ON THE STEEL TARGET PISTOL RANGE.

Trapshooting

Perry currently is in 7th place in the 2022-2023 Berks County Inter-valley Trapshooting league. The price of targets has increased and the fee was increased to $7 for each 25 targets along with $5 league fees. Perry will also charge $7 target fees at our monthly shoots starting 2023. We are not holding any trap shoots during January through March inclusive; but will resume holding those events starting April, 2023 including the Monday evening handicap shoots. Monthly shoots are now held on the first Saturday of the month instead of the first Sunday of the month.

Big Game Contests

There currently are no entries for our biggest bear contest for 2022.The next bear and deer contests end at 8:00 p.m. on 1/31/2023 and 2/28/2023 respectively. The next longest turkey beard contest ends at the June 27, 2023 regular meeting. Bring your harvests to the club for measurement. All winners now receive a $75 award.

MEMBERSHIP

Currently, renewal postcard reminders are mailed but those will be discontinued sometime this year and E-mail reminders will be sent instead. Everyone needs to provide us with a valid E-mail address to receive our communications. US Postal rates have become too costly for hard copy mailings. Besides, it is your responsibility to know your membership card’s expiration date and pay the $20 renewal fee before expiration in order to avoid the additional $10 re-join fee. We encourage everyone to pay with credit card on-line.

2023 HIGHLIGHTS

We plan to convert to an all electronic communications format. We will be posting updated quarterly newsletters on our web site and E-mail same to those of you who provide valid addresses. If you have no E-mail, use a friend or relative’s E-mail address to receive your communications, Please let us know if and when you change your E-mail address. We will only be mailing one hard copy newsletter this year during July; but we plan to stop all hard copy issues in the future. The 250 raffle Series is discontinued. We hope to replace same with a quarterly raffle. The next such cash/gun raffle will be drawn on April 21st. You can purchase those tickets on our web site. Only 350 tickets will be sold at $20 each. Let us know if you plan to attend the drawing.

FACEBOOK

We encourage you to take and post photo’s of the enjoyment of shooting and activities at our club. We also post special activities and events on Facebook. This is an easy way for exposure to the Perry Township Game Association.

WEB SITE CHANGES

Our web site processes credit card payments through our PayPal account. You do NOT have to have a PayPal account to make credit card payments on the web site. This method of payment makes it clearer and easier to pay for new memberships, renewals, guest passes, as well as other available products. Occasionally we will post raffle tickets on the web site, When you order and pay we will complete the ticket stubs in your name and mail you the remainder of the tickets. The current active ticket costs $20 each for guns and cash prizes. Limited to 350 tickets. Winning ticket numbers will be posted on the web site. We encourage you to visit our web site frequently to stay on top of Association Communications.

2023 Board Shoots

Martin Kozlowski won the 2022 Cabela’s gift card from the drawing at the December 11th shoot. The next Board shoot is on April 9th. This year one additional shoot will again be held June 11, 2023, for a total of seven (7). The other five shoots are May 14th, September 10th, October 8th, November12th and December 10th. Sign-up begins at 8:30 a.m. and the shoots start at 9:00 a.m. Prizes are very nice meat trays from Christman’s in Oley. Splatter boards and strip tickets for meat trays are also sold during those events. For every entry sign-up your name is also entered in a special drawing after the December 2023 shoot for a Cabela’s gift card.
